Ysgol y Ddraig

Welcome to our Ysgol y Ddraig site. We are a two form English medium nursery & primary school. We are located next to Llantwit Major School on Ham Lane East which is part of the Llantwit Learning Community.

Our school currently has fifteen classes; including a morning Nursery class and approximately 380 children on roll. The school caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11 years. Children may enter the Nursery at the beginning of the term after their third birthday, space allowing. Children start in the Reception Class in the September prior to their 5th birthday. In the September after their 11th birthday they transfer to secondary school. Enquiries about admissions can be made directly to the school or through the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Dragon's Den!

We are a two form entry nursery & primary school formed from the amalgamation of two primary schools. From September 2015 we started operating as one school with separate Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 sites. We have now joined together in our new dragon's den, as part of the Llantwit Learning Community.
