BLENDED AND DISTANCE LEARNING

Blended learning is an approach that combines learning in school with distance learning, part of which includes  online learning. Blended learning provides activities and opportunities to our learners during a ‘normal’ school week for home learning activities as well as opportunities to our learners should they be required to learn from home due to COVID 19 or any other extenuating circumstance.

At Ysgol y Ddraig, we use two different learning platforms. Seesaw is used in our Progression Step 1&2 classes (Nursery – Year 2) and Google Classroom is used in our Progression Step 3 classes (Year 3 - 6). Independent learning grids (Dragon Challenge grids or 9 grids) and activities are uploaded to these platforms and used for communication and feedback, they allow families and learners access to online learning resources.
